Royal Family band plays Chappell Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’ to mark Pride
July 08 2025, 08:15

The Coldstream Guards are celebrating Pride in London in the best way: by covering Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club”, no less.

The Royal Family’s official Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) account shared a video on Saturday (5 July) of the Coldstream Guards celebrating Pride in London by performing Roan’s hit track in front of Buckingham Palace.

The caption read, “Happy Pride!” alongside a slew of emojis, including a rainbow, a disco ball, and twinkle.

Roan’s hit song “Pink Pony Club” has been hailed as a sapphic anthem since its original 2020 release, which was inspired by the artist’s transformative experience at the famous Los Angeles gay bar, The Abbey, a core part of the city’s LGBTQ+ culture.
