US Senator Maggie Hasaan stopped by for a tour and to deliver remarks at Manchester True Collaborative, New Hampshire’s first LGBTQ+ community center, earlier this week.

Reports WMUR ABC-TV 9:

Hassan took a tour and stressed the importance of restoring civility in public discourse around certain issues.

“My biggest message to people is if you have a child who, regardless of who they are or what their sexuality is or their identity is, none of us want that person singled out or bullied,” she said.

Hassan also addressed efforts to maintain funding for the 988 suicide and life crisis helpline, which discontinued its specialized LGBTQ services in July.

MTC is the nonprofit organization behind the Manchester True Collaborative Center, New Hampshire’s first LGBTQIA+ community center. As the organizers of Manchester Pride, MTC provides programming and events that build joy and belonging.
