House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has been eviscerated for the way he told Democratic leaders to give in to the president’s decision to send troops into American cities.

During a press conference, Johnson made his plea directly to these officials using two bizarre words: “Yield, man.”

“We need to confirm to the American people that they do not to fear for their lives when they drive to the grocery store or they pick up their son or daughter from school,” he said. “This is common sense, and I cannot for the life of me understand how the Democrats think this is some kind of winning political message. Yield man! Let the troops come into your city and show how crime can be reduced.”

Johnson then claimed the administration’s actions are “a morale boost for the country and it’s safe and right for everybody involved.”

"Yield man" Good lord. This has such "you should just lie back and enjoy it" vibes. Does he ever think before speaking?
