About 200 pro-LGBTQ+ protestors drowned out an anti-LGBTQ+ Christian Nationalist’s religious rally in Seattle, Washington, last weekend by playing lesbian pop star Chappell Roan’s song “Pink Pony Club” on kazoos.
The protestors set up their “Kazoo Karaoke” event in the city’s Gas Works Park to oppose the “Revive in ’25” rally organized by Sean Feucht, Pink News reported. Feucht, a MAGA-supporting provocateur who holds rallies in blue state cities, has referred to the LGBTQ+ rights movement as a plan to “destroy our culture and pervert our children.”

Rae, who didn’t give their last name when speaking to KUOW, said, “The point of [Feucht’s] event was to rage bait our community into eliciting a response.” Police kept the two groups separated, and no arrests were reported.
Counterprotestor James Watkins said the “Kazoo Karaoke” event was “built around joy,” adding, “It’s something that’s built to express the reality that we’re trying to protect, which is the ability to form community and connect with people that are whatever kind of people they want to be.”
