Far-right Trump supporter shows off his new Hitler mustache in video broadcast

Far-right Trump supporter and anti-LGBTQ+ conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has deliberately styled his mustache to resemble that of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Fellow Trump supporter Elon Musk made a Nazi salute at Trump’s January inauguration.

During his Thursday broadcast of his Infowars conspiracy theory program, Jones played video clips of Hitler and other Nazis before appearing onscreen with a similarly styled mustache. Jones said, “Now, obviously, everybody watching is only thinking about my mustache right now.”

Alex Jones is back on social media. Here are 5 times he demonized the LGBTQ+ community.

“Being a white guy that has German features, classical German features, and with a Hitler mustache, and it was very interesting,” he added. “I could tell you it had a wild effect on women. I thought they were about to start throwing their panties at me. And they didn’t know why… Lex Luther meets Adolf Hitler looks with blue eyes, and they just didn’t know what to do. They’re like melting.”

“I may keep this for six months, actually,” he continued. “Because I’m already the devil, I’m already Satan, I’m already, all these things I never did…. And also, I’ve never supported Hitler, and I oppose all forms of totalitarian systems. I don’t think Hitler is the worst totalitarian in history, but he’s right up there in the top three or four.”

Jones has used his massive media platform and his InfoWars broadcasts to spew hatred against the LGBTQ+ community to over 3 million listeners, including lies that have resulted in real-world violence.

On his show, he said he wanted to “execute” lesbian MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow and called a U.S. congressman a “c**ksucker” and a “fairy.” He also said that the fight for transgender rights is just a Deep State plot to give civil rights to cyborgs and humanoids — and to force people to allow their neighbors to have sex with their cars. (Despite that, there’s evidence that Jones enjoys watching transgender adult videos on his phone.)

Jones’s completely untrue conspiracy theories have led to violent threats against innocent people.

The NewsWars Facebook page posted a video entitled, “The Sordid History of Pedophilia and the Political Left” which claims that liberal, progressive, and Democratic political supporters secretly endorse pedophilia.

If this claim sounds familiar, it’s probably because it echoes the Pizzagate conspiracy theory that Jones long espoused. Jones falsely claimed that a gay-owned Washington D.C. pizzeria, Comet Ping Pong Pizza, ran a secret child sex ring out of its nonexistent basement. The conspiracy convinced a gunman to shoot up the pizzeria in December 2016.

In mid-November 2021, a Connecticut court found Jones and his cohorts liable for defamation against parents whose children died in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Jones claimed that the shooting was a “false flag” hoax organized by the government to justify taking people’s guns. He said the 20 children who were murdered in the shooting and their parents who spoke out afterward were all fake “crisis actors.” As a result, the parents faced constant harassment and death threats from Jones’ followers. A court ordered Jones to pay $1.5 billion in defamation penalties to the parents.
