On the same day that Elon Musk’s daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson went public with some unflattering observations about her father — calling him a “pathetic man-child” among other things — the billionaire Trump ally and Telsa CEO lashed out on his X platform, tying trans people, and by extension Wilson, to recent attacks on Tesla cars, charging stations, and dealerships.

“Wow, trans violence is EXTREMELY FAR above normal levels!!” Musk wrote in one post on Thursday, sharing a debunked chart on “trans violence” in the UK prison system which distorted data from the UK’s Ministry of Justice.

“The probability of a trans person being violent appears to be vastly higher than non-trans,” he wrote in another, amplifying a far-right and unverified claim that three of four people arrested for recent attacks on Tesla property are trans. “Hormone injections cause extreme emotional volatility. That is simply a fact.”
