Vivian Wilson’s new product line is both a middle finger to her estranged father, Elon Musk, and a way to give back to LGBTQ+ youth.

On Thursday, March 26, the 21-year-old transgender model announced the launch of a line of merch featuring the phrase “Evil Woke Mind Virus” available via her OpenWav storefront.

The slogan, emblazoned on t-shirts, ball caps, tote bags, and other items, is a snarky reference to one of Musk’s many anti-trans social media posts about her.

Late last year, the billionaire X.com, Tesla, and SpaceX CEO got into a spat with California governor and presumed Democratic presidential hopeful Gavin Newsom on Musk’s social media platform after Musk’s conservative political action committee posted a video clip from a New York Times interview in which Newsom touted his work on “pro-trans legislation.”

“We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon,” Newsom’s press office responded to America PAC’s post, referring to Wilson’s estrangement from Musk due to his anti-trans bigotry.

Musk then responded with his own post in which he misgendered and deadnamed Wilson and falsely accused her of having “a tragic mental illness caused by the evil woke mind virus.”

Musk had previously posted that Wilson had been “killed by the woke mind virus” in response to an X user last year.

Wilson, who has reportedly been financially independent from Musk since coming out as trans in 2020, has been a vocal critic of her father and has frequently clapped back at his transphobic posts about her.

“Why should I be scared of this man? Because he’s rich? Oh, no, I’m trembling. Ooh, shivering in my boots here. I don’t give a f**k how much money anyone has,” she said of Musk in an interview with Teen Vogue last year, in which she also described her dad as a “pathetic man-child.”

“People thrive off of fear,” she added. “I’m not giving anyone that space in my mind.”

But with her new merch, Wilson isn’t just fearlessly trolling Musk. In her Threads post announcing the line, she noted that a “portion of the proceeds” will go to LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention organization The Trevor Project.

As LGBTQ+ outlet Gayety notes, it’s unclear what percentage of profits from sales will go to the organization.
