“Clown show”: Mike Johnson presents made up “America First” award to Trump & people have thoughts

Donald Trump has been given yet another manufactured award – this time by the National Republican Congressional Committee.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has been brutally mocked for kowtowing to the president by announcing him as the recipient of the first-ever America First award at the committee’s annual fundraiser.

Johnson called the award, a large golden eagle statue, “appropriate for the new golden era in America.”

The president has made clear his obsession with medals, trophies, and awards, and he even seems to excite in them when he knows they are manufactured for his benefit, like when the soccer organization FIFA gave him a “Peace Prize” last year, created just for him because he was sad he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize.

He was then mocked ruthlessly for accepting the Nobel Peace Prize medal belonging to Venezuela opposition leader María Corina Machado. Machado, who gave it to him at the White House after he dismissed the idea of her leading Venezuela following his illegal January 3 arrest of the country’s President Nicolás Maduro.

As such, many have called out Johnson for the blatant kowtowing.
