Last year, Emmy-nominated actor Tituss Burgess was one of a handful of performers to step into the titular role of Mary Todd Lincoln in “Oh, Mary!” on Broadway. The Tony-winning not-quite-solo show was a fantastic feature for Burgess, whose brilliant comic timing and megawatt personality lit up roles like that of Titus (one s), the struggling actor-friend of “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” The real Tituss, of course, doesn’t struggle on stage—rather, he shines, as in this evening of story and song that places him firmly center stage.
