Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) – who only cares about prison conditions and the criminal justice system when conservatives commit crimes – is now saying that disgraced former congressman George Santos is facing “torture” in prison because he has to drink water from a sink.

She did not specify what kind of water the prison should be supplying instead.

Greene posted to X that Santos, who is serving a seven-year prison sentence after he pled guilty to charges connected to several schemes to enrich himself at the expense of campaign donors, has been moved to solitary confinement in prison because he was facing threats in jail.

“I’m told he is in his cell 24 hours per day and he is only allowed to get a shower 3 times a week,” she wrote. “He does not get any sunlight. He’s only allowed to buy stamps from the commissary and is drinking water from the sink.”

“This is torture.”

She said that she is trying to get the president to pardon Santos now because he “had a better voting record than MOST members of Congress!!!” That is, he was a safe GOP vote during the several months he was in Congress, and therefore, he shouldn’t face prison for his crimes.

She has been calling for Santos to get his sentence commuted for over a month now.

Former Congressman George Santos has been in solitary confinement for nearly 30 days in FCI Fairton NJ.

They say it’s “for his safety” due to threats.
