Human Rights Campaign endorses US Rep. Chris Pappas (NH) for US Senate
September 24 2025, 08:15

Last week, the Human Rights Campaign’s political action committee proudly announced its endorsement of US Congressman Chris Pappas of New Hampshire for US Senate.

Throughout his career, Rep. Pappas, New Hampshire’s first openly-LGBTQ+ member of Congress, has championed equality — from introducing and passing the Equality Act through the House of Representatives to enacting the Respect for Marriage Act into law — while advancing protections for New Hampshire’s LGBTQ+ community.

“Chris Pappas is a fighter for equality who has never forgotten his roots,” said HRC President Kelley Robinson.

“From pushing the Equality Act through the House to helping make the Respect for Marriage Act the law of the land, and breaking barriers as New Hampshire’s first out member of Congress, Chris leads with a passion for an America where everyone can chase their dreams. At a time when equality and freedom are under assault, New Hampshire and the nation deserve leaders with that kind of passion. Chris fights every day for every Granite Stater to have what they need to thrive, and that’s exactly why the Senate needs his voice to represent the voiceless,” Robinson said.

“It’s an honor to have the endorsement of the Human Rights Campaign, which has been at the forefront of the fight for LGBTQ+ equality,” said Congressman Chris Pappas.“ No one should be discriminated against because of who they are or whom they love, and I will always stand up for the rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ individuals in New Hampshire and across the country,” said Pappas.
