Magic Johnson’s gay son, one-time Rich Kids of Beverly Hills reality star EJ Johnson, says they identify as gay, but they’re “not attracted to gay men.”

“I don’t attract gay men and I’m not attracted to gay men. It’s just not a thing,” the femme-presenting red carpet favorite said this week.

“If you ask any of the girls, they’ll tell you the same.”

The Johnson scion, 33, dropped that news and more about their dating-while-femme adventures on Carlos King’s Reality with The King podcast on Tuesday.

EJ was outed by gay TV exec Harvey Levin’s TMZ in 2013, a tabloid headline that earned the nepo baby their role on Rich Kids, along with a short-lived solo reality turn called EJNYC.

They’ve been in front of the cameras, and coming into their own, ever since.

On how they like to identify, Johnson said, “I think they’re just labels, you know? That’s why I don’t care. When I’m dating someone, I don’t care what you identify as, or what you call yourself, as long as you’re happy being who you are.”

They’re not big on pronouns, either: just call them EJ, The Proud Family actor said.

Johnson told King that because they don’t often present as a gay man, they haven’t always felt welcome in gay spaces.

“That’s why I don’t really go to gay clubs, and I don’t go to gay things, because the men that I attract are not there.”

Of the gay boys, Johnson said, “They kind of wave you off.”

“These are not the men that are interested in me in that capacity.”

When they’re looking for company, Johnson said, they head “to the straight rooms.”

Asked by King if they’ve always pursued guys into girls — even before their more femme presentation — Johnson replied, “Absolutely.”

And for many of them, it’s been a first time with someone like Johnson. The guys Johnson likes have “been intimate and dating women for most of their life — up until then,” they said with a laugh.

“It has always been that way, but now it’s even more so — now that I definitely present in more of a feminine way. Because also, it’s like, my energy is that.”

That energy, Johnson shared coyly, has also found them “hooked up” with “one or two” celebrities. Who they are, or in which “straight rooms” they found them, stayed on the DL.
